The University of Tennessee commissioned HGA to draft the construction documents for the upgrade of elevators in ten buildings on the UT Martin campus (shown at right.) The program included the removal and replacement of two elevators, the full modernization of six elevators, partial upgrade of six elevators, and the addition of one elevator. As part of these replaced elevators and the additional elevator, the structure and spaces around were modified and remodeled to provide the necessary space for the shaft and required equipment as well as to meet current codes and standards, including accessibility.
