When the oils division of Kraft Foods was spun-off as the ACH Company, the Horrell Group was selected to design their headquarters and laboratory center. Referred to as the Technology Center, this 55,575 square foot facility houses ACH's corporate offices and laboratories (16,980 square feet of laboratory space) for food research. This was a "fast track" project with a one-year schedule from concept to occupancy. This was accomplished by selecting a contractor to begin immediately and, with the cooperation of the local building department, getting the site plan and foundation plans approved for construction before the remainder of the plans were completed.
